What's It Cost?

No two VIDEOS are exactly the same. Some have professional talent, some have only a narrator, some have a company employee on-camera, some have location shooting and some are in-studio.

So the costs for a QUALITY video for SALES AND MARKETING will range dramatically. With the average program running from 3-4 minutes, prices depend on location, talent, post-production elements, etc., but plan spend at least $5-$10k.

The costs for a QUALITY video for TRAINING will range also depending on a lot of factors. However, with the average length running from 15-30 minutes, plan to spend a least $100 per running minute if you write the script.

The most expensive production usually is for QUALITY TELEVISION COMMERCIALS, with prices starting in the $1000 per running second range for a regional or national ad, excluding talent costs. Local and cable type commercials cost a lot less.

The longer the program, generally the less expensive per minute. But remember your audience and the way they'll see the program. Longer is not necessarily better.

Finally, how do VIDEO prices stack-up against the cost of producing, printing and distributing a 4-color brochure?

If you've done that before, you might be interested to know that the cost is about the same per unit! But the difference in value, both perceived and real, is amazing! Which would rather receive: a 6 panel brochure with limited wording and maybe a few small pictures that you can look at and read in 30 seconds ... or 3 to 4 minutes of moving color pictures with running commentary that is informative and entertaining? We have yet to hear of someone not putting VIDEO or DVD they receive into the player... just to see what is on it! Can you say the same for people reading your brochure?
